The Faces on Earth and Mars!

The originator of this process has developed it in his work with 100s of human faces. Simply stated, this procedure allows you recreate the full human image by looking at and ‘assembling' its parts. Thus, you can re-image, recreate, or arrive at the original human face by doing certain Photoshop (and related plug-in) processes to its parts. So, what's the big deal, you ask. Of course the whole is at least the sum of its parts! Well, what happens when you only have part of the human image? Can you recreate the original picture of a person when you only have part of the picture? How close can you come to the original face? These are all very good questions. And the answers would appear to be ‘yes', or at least, ‘it seems so', and 'yes, we can come close!'

Of course, you may have been anticipating the larger, more important question, the one we are most interested in here, namely: What about the Mars face? Can we reconstruct or arrive at an original image of what the face may have ‘really' looked like, given that one side of the face may be ‘better' or more ‘useful' or more ‘accurate' than the other? Or, better yet, if one side of the face on Mars is more eroded than the other, would this procedure have any value in obtaining some kind of a more accurate picture of the original face on Mars? Again, we think the answers might be ‘yes', ‘maybe' or ‘we think so'!

Indeed, the most important issue here is not the reconstructing of what the face on Mars, per-se, may have looked like. Rather, the true issue at hand is whether or not this procedure is useful in determining if the face on Mars is artificial or not.

The results of our analyses are not meant to be definitive–only suggestive! None-the-less, to us, they are rather astonishing! We are eager for any feedback from you. Are these analyses valid? The Face on Earth!

	1. Earth Face-Side Shot Side shot of human face at approx. the same angle as the Mars Surveyor image of the ‘face on Mars'. Resulting image is an incomplete, partial image of human face.
	2. Earth Face-Rotated Image is rotated to face forwards.
	3. Earth Face-Adjusted Perspective Image is adjusted to assimilate a level perspective.
	4. Earth Face-Right Side Image is split in half. Right side is flipped opposite to create a mirror image.
	5. Earth Face-Left Side Left side is flipped opposite to create a mirror image.
	6. Earth Face-Morphed Image Re-created original image. Both right and left images are morphed to create ‘average' image. Compare with actual image (see #7 below). (Use ‘Morph', Photoshop plug-in by Griffin Software.)
	7. Earth Face-Straight On Actual, real straight-on image of human subject. How accurate, close is the morphed image?

The Face on Mars!

	1. Mars Face-Original Image Original Viking image of the Face on Mars in the Cydonia region.
	2. Mars Face-Recent Image Recent Mars Global Surveyor image of the Face on Mars. Assumed, apparent symmetry showing partial erosion on one side.
	3. Mars Face-Rotated/Perspective Adjusted/Color Added Image is rotated to face forward and is adjusted to assimilate a level perspective. Color is added to ‘levels': blue, rust-brown, white to lower, middle and higher ‘altitudes', respectively.
	4. Mars Face-Right Side Image is split in half. Right side is flipped opposite to create mirror image.
	5. Mars Face-Left Side Left side is flipped opposite to create mirror image.
	6. Mars Face-Morphed Image Re-created ‘original' image? Both right and left images are morphed to create ‘average', hypothetical ‘original' image. (Use ‘Morph', Photoshop plug-in by Griffin Software.)
	7. Mars ‘Gold' Face Photoshop ‘Convolver' plug-in (by Metatools) sharpens/contrasts pixels and, thus, enhances image.
